A winning week last week in the golf.

We had the 22/1 Richie Ramsay to win the Cazoo Classic, and he duly delivered with a very impressive performance.

We also had an E/W bet on the 30/1 Hyo Joo Kim in the LPGA Evian Championship which came in. That was nice to get another one in the LPGA with Brooke a few weeks back, and gives me more confidence going forward.

That puts the golf at +11.86u for the year, or $1482.47 in profit. I’ve did a lot of lower unit bets than normal this year for a variety of reasons that’s not too obad.

Let’s see what we got for this week. Interesting note is Bet365 have added “Each Way Extra” where you can change things up rather than the standard E/W bet.

So for the Rocket Mortgage Classic, you can do:

E/W 1/5 1-3
E/W 1/5 1-8
E/W 1/7 1-10
E/W 1/9 1-12

The standard is E/W 1/4 1-5.

Not sure what to think about that. Top 8 is definitely a tempting one. I feel like if I am doing long shot bets, I may go with that. I really need to sit down and run the numbers. There’s also a few of those guys I like Top 10 or 20 who I usually take a shot on for E/W instead so they may fit into that category.

Assume standard E/W unless specified.

Rocket Mortgage Classic Betting Tips:

Simple enough (barely a hybrid) course. Blast it to the green. Get it in. Nice and easy birdiefest. This is one where man I could talk up 10-15 different guys on this course. Let’s go with 2u spread over 4 golfers.

$62.50 (0.5u) on Cameron Young E/W at 18/1

Also hasn’t played on this course but he has to suit it. He’s coming off that excellent performance at the Open. He has the driving distance and is 2nd for SG Off the Tee. Just can’t not bet him here.

$31.25 (0.25u) on Mark Hubbard E/W 8 at 55/1

Okay so here I am going with the E/W 8 one, has to finish in the top 8. One of the hottest golfers coming in here. While his driving distance is lacking compared to the others on here, I feel like he can make up for it in other ways. 12th place finish a couple of years ago on this course.

$31.25 (0.25u) on Cameron Davis E/W at 33/1

Great odds on last years winner. He really doesn’t show up on my metric as someone who can contend funnily enough but I mean in excellent form, and like I said won here last year. So well worth it.

LIV Golf Invitational Bedminister Betting Tips:

We don’t have a ton of course data. Just the US Womens Open from 2017. Putting, birdie performance and par 5s were the biggest factors there.

Odds are really not great either with 5 guys in the Top 5.

Let’s go with a lone bet of Talor Gooch to win. $25 at 12/1. I’m still not super comfortable betting on this one but want to have something live.

Hero Open 2022 Betting Tips:

My system agrees with the bookies that Ryan Fox should be favourite based on the metrics. But coming in not super hot, and with a weak performance here last year although he did make the cut, I’ll pass on him at those odds.

I’ll do:

Skipping the Womens event this week.
